Check back here for news and results. July 8, 2008 Goose Creek pummels Bluffton, 12-0 By Joe Anderson Goose Greek Gazette The trip didn’t even seem worth it. After nearly a two-hour delay due to bad traffic, the visiting Bluffton Senior American Legion team was beat up and down the field in a 12-0 Goose Creek American Legion baseball victory July 1. “The whole team was functioning very well tonight,” Goose Creek Head Coach Jimmy Huskey said. “We played very strong defense and had very few errors. We were able to capitalize on big hits and put runs on the board early.” Goose Creek pitcher Bret Hines put down Bluffton’s top of the order in the first. Bluffton would not be so lucky. GC’s Aaron Preston blasted a stand up triple to center field before a double by Tyler Hill put Goose Creek’s first run on the board. “We’ve learned how important it is to put hits together throughout the game this season,” Preston said. “When you’re at the top of the order, it’s important to get runners on base and give you team an opportunity to get ahead early.” Read the rest of the story here Head Coach: Jimy Huskey Assistant coaches: Bunky Hines                                      Steven Hill                                      Roger Bryant
