DeFendi, age 84, of Hanahan, South Carolina, born at Dubuque, Iowa, disabled WW-II Army Air Corps veteran entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 8, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife Elisabeth, parents Frank and Susan DeFendi and son Jeffery DeFendi. Loving father of Dennis (Suzanne) DeFendi, Christine (Jack) Moore and Michael DeFendi widower of Marjorie, daughter-in-law Becky Behrens widow of Jeffrey; Dear brother of Sue (Donat) LaFond; Cherished grandfather of Michael DeFendi, Sean DeFendi, Effie (Gabe) Gutierrez, Elizabeth (Chris) Heacox, Lianna Strikos, Michele DeFendi, Matthew (Heather) DeFendi, Shane (Lindsay) DeFendi and Christopher DeFendi and great grandfather of Alexandra, Corina, Melina, Christopher, Sophia, Cody, Kyla, Owen and Lukas. Visitation/viewing, Friday Evening, July 11, 2008, 6-8:00pm with a Prayer Service at 7:30pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 100 Goose Creek Blvd (Hwy 52), Goose Creek. (One Block towards North Charleston from the Red Bank, St. James (Hwy 176), Hwy 52 Intersection)... Funeral Service, Saturday Morning, July 12, 2008, 9:30am at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 510 St. James Ave (Hwy 176), Goose Creek (just before the new Lowe's).. Interment follwing the Church Service at Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Ave, N. Charleston... Donations to the American Cancer Society in lieu of Flowers is appreciated.
